Collection philosophy
African creativity cannot be reduced to the mask, the idol or the carved figure. The artistic inheritance of the Sahel also lives in indigo and woven cloth, carved doors and earthen architecture, glass and leather, metal and vessels, poetry, pattern and geometry.
Neo-Sahelian Art is an invitation to artists and artisans across the Sahel: to honor inheritance without being imprisoned by it, and to turn conviction into creative possibility. It seeks no single visual formula. Its unity lies in an ethic: study before intervention, respect before reinvention, craftsmanship before spectacle, and transformation before erasure.
